Digital Explorers

We warmly invite you to the digital opening of Gabey Tjon a Tham and Studio KASBOEK on Thursday 28 November. From 19:30 to 21:30, you can join the artists in conversation in the online meeting and exhibition space on the common.garden platform. Gabey Tjon a Tham was our Digital Explorer from September to October, and Studio KASBOEK from October to November.

During the opening, Gabey Tjon a Tham will welcome visitors between 19:30 and 20:30 and guide them through her “garden”, where she has continued her ongoing research into the digital landscape. Within the common.garden platform, she explores the potential of working with “specific space” in the digital domain, as a way of reflecting back on the physical world.

Studio KASBOEK will host a meet-the-artist session during the second hour, from 20:30 to 21:30, where you are welcome to ask questions about their common.garden. Within the platform, they have further developed their existing work The Imaginary Entity [i], in which various perspectives converge and new connections emerge in a kaleidoscopic constellation.

How do you get into the common.garden?

Click the links on the right to enter the common.garden of Gabey Tjon a Tham or Studio KASBOEK;
On the screen, enter your name and tick the box next to “I agree to the privacy statement” (see image below);
Then turn on your camera and microphone so that you are visible and audible in your own “egg”;
You can now wander around and look for other people — or “eggs” — and once you’re nearby, you’ll be able to see and hear each other.
