What Does ‘Bourgondisch’ Really Mean – and Do We All Taste It the Same Way? Artist Floor Snels grew curious and set out to explore the flavours and stories of the Liniekwartier neighbourhood. During the pandemic, she couldn’t sit down at people’s tables, but that didn’t stop her. She created tablecloth kits and asked residents to draw or write what they were eating. These cloths became the inspiration for a unique table, crafted by Boys with Wood.

On Wednesday 11 June, the moment has arrived: we unveil the Bourgondische Linietafel—an artwork full of personal flavours and shared memories. With home-baked biscuits, drinks and nibbles, we’ll celebrate not only the table’s festive opening, but also the conclusion of a long-standing collaboration between Witte Rook, housing association Alwel, and the neighbourhood.
