About INVERSIE
Inversie is a one-year programme that supports artists who have graduated for two to five years – and have a Brabant connection – in the transition from art school to a sustainable professional practice. For a year, artists whose field of work is outside the regular framework of the art world are guided in their artistic development and appropriate entrepreneurship. Inversie stands for reversal of the usual order and also dares to look outside the beaten track in search of innovative methods that suit the art and the artist. The strength of Inversie lies in its tailored guidance, strong peer network and deep artistic reflection. Artists follow a programme that includes workshops, studio periods, presentations and expert sessions. Inversie is a collaboration between multiple cultural partners in Brabant, including Kunstpodium T, Witte Rook, TAC, Willem Twee Kunstruimte, Stedelijk Museum Breda, Graphic Atelier Den Bosch, Het NoordBrabants Museum, Galerie Ruby Soho and Emoves.
Inversie has a trajectory starting in September 2025: Inversie#5, in 2026: Inversie#6 and in 2027 Inversie#7 starts. There is room for eight talents per edition; an Open Call is issued for each edition.
ONE OPEN CALL, TWO TRAJECTORIES
Between 6 January and 10 February 2025, both jump! and Inversie are scouting artists who live or work in Brabant, or have a clear connection to the region. While both programmes support visual artists, Inversie is intended for artists 2–5 years post-graduation, and jump! focuses on those who have been active in the field for 4+ years. You may apply to only one of the two talent hubs; Inversie or jump! by sending an e-mail to the relevant hub with your CV, your portfolio and a motivation.
