A video installation about power relations, representation, and the long arm of history.
The exhibition presents the artistic results of Las Lanzas, a project in which artists Iratxe Jaio and Klaas van Gorkum investigate the origin and meaning of various copies of Diego Velázquez’s painting La rendición de Breda—known locally in Breda as Las Lanzas.

The exhibition Schimmenspel (Shadowplay) by the artist duo Jaio and Van Gorkum opens on Friday 6 June at 19:00 at the StadsGalerij in Breda and will be on view until 13 July.
