From 21 September to 21 December, Mara Varelaki will be Artist in Residence at the 49 square metres in Zaartpark in Breda. Mara Varelaki is a sculptor and writer. Her sculptural/textual work explores the mythological stories of an imaginary world. By bringing the background landscape to the foreground and avoiding anthropomorphic representations and interpretations of the environment, this oeuvre resists anthropocentrism.
